Tikkl supports multiple types of discounts that you can offer through your ticket setup or through admin checkout. Discounts can be created using ticket types, sales periods, or bundle minimums, depending on the incentive you want to provide.
Early Bird Discounts
Early Bird tickets encourage attendees to buy early at a lower price.
To set up an Early Bird discount:
Create a separate Early Bird ticket type with a lower price.
Set an end date in the Sales Period for when Early Bird pricing expires.
Keep your Regular ticket type visible alongside it.
Showing both Early Bird and Regular prices helps buyers clearly understand the benefit of booking early.
You can also use sales start/end times to run limited-time flash sales with lower pricing for a few hours.
Group Discounts
Group discounts reward buyers for purchasing multiple tickets at once.
To set up a group discount:
Create a Group ticket type with a reduced per-ticket price.
Set a Bundle Minimum (e.g., 2, 4, 10) — the discount applies only when that quantity or more is purchased.
Keep the Regular ticket type visible so buyers can compare.
This makes it clear that a better price is available when purchasing in groups.
Admin Discounts
Admins can apply manual discounts during checkout.
To apply an admin discount:
While logged in as an admin, go to the event’s public campaign website.
Add a ticket to cart.
On the Checkout page, click the pencil icon next to Discount.
Enter the discount amount — admins can apply up to 100%.
Check the box:
“Process this transaction for a customer, not for myself.”Enter the buyer’s details and place the order.
This is useful for complimentary tickets or special one-off discounts.
