What are Tags in the Contacts DB?

The Contacts Database is an intuitive tag-based contacts management system that allows you to easily segment contacts, track relationships, and target right messages to the right people.

• Any time someone participates in one of your Events or Campaigns, that person is automatically entered into your Contacts Database and tagged with a system tag cmp-<campaign-name>.
• When a person follows your Org, he/she gets tagged @follower@ and if you have setup interest areas to choose, they are also tagged with @interest-area@.
• During import, Tikkl tags the entire list being imported with an imp-<date> tag and gives you the option to add additional tags that can help you segment meaningfully.

Manual and automatic tagging allows you to keep track of your Contacts’ interests and Campaign participation, so that you easily make informed decisions about who you should invite to participate in each subsequent Campaign.
